What should I expect during my massage?
During prenatal massage, traditional massage techniques are adapted to make the experience both comfortable and supportive for pregnant women. Firm, yet gentle touch is used to soothe sore muscles, while special positioning pillows are used to allow you to lay on your stomach without discomfort, pressure, or strain on your belly. If you are not comfortable resting on your stomach, we are able to position you in a relaxed side-lying position, very similar to the way you would sleep.
For postpartum massage, bolsters are also provided to alleviate pressure on your chest.
