Since becoming licensed in 2009, Deandra Marinova has become internationally certified in pediatric massage. Deandra has been personally trained by the world-renowned Tina Allen, founder and director of the internationally recognized Liddle Kidz Foundation.
The best part of being a pediatric massage therapist is having the opportunity to work with children and parents. As a CPMTII and CIMT, Deandra is able to work with children and families from birth to adulthood. The children she works with are from all different backgrounds; some medically fragile, while others are typically developing. No matter what the circumstance, Deandra is able to help impact children in a positive way by teaching positive body image, providing healthy, nurturing touch and helping children and the ones who love them blossom and grow in their bond. She believes very strongly that all children, no matter their age or condition, benefit greatly from pediatric massage.
Deandra loves to take her passion and enthusiasm for massage out into the world, as well! You can often find her teaching infant massage to parents in the Greensboro community.
Deandra also has a background in labor support as a trained doula. All of this has helped Deandra to live out her dreams of being able to work closely with moms and children from conception onward. Her unique approach to integrating massage during pregnancy and labor provides a great comfort to moms. Deandra has also worked with area hospital birthing classes, teaching massage techniques, birthing positions and meditation to moms-to-be and their birthing partners.
Some of Deandra’s hobbies include spending time with her husband and little boy, as well as getting outside for hikes and working in her garden.
Please feel free to contact Deandra with any questions or appointment requests.
